Industrial Laser Marking Systems

laser marking different metals-1What is laser marking?

A laser mark is produced by deflecting the laser beam via a high-speed mirror system (galvanometer). A flat field lens focuses the beam on the work piece. The concentrated beam creates a mark by engraving, by causing a colour change, or by vaporising a thin film from the surface. The laser can mark text, graphics, logos, barcodes, Data Matrix codes, serial numbers etc on a wide range of materials. The laser mark is clear to read and permanent.

With LS Laser Marker you will achieve fast, flexible, durable and economical results even for small lots. Inscriptions can be made with the LS Laser Marker on virtually any material. The Laser Marker can even mark on curved surfaces, in a circle, or on-the-fly. A laser system automates and improves your marking application. The customised solutions provided by LS system modules optimise costs while at the same time maximising efficiency. The solutions range from OEM systems for integration into production lines, to complete stand-alone systems with rotating table, x,y,z table, and label handling equipment. All systems are available with automated handling.

Types of Laser marking system

The main types of laser for industrial marking are CO2, YAG, UV and Fibre . The main difference is in the wavelength of laser light produced. Different materials respond to different wavelengths, but LS will select the appropriate laser for your specific application and build a custom handling system if required.
